Dr. Degan is a second-generation orthopedic surgeon, originally from Seattle, Washington, and has been involved in all facets of patient treatment from a young age. His interest in sports medicine stems from his own experience as an athlete throughout his college football career. Dr. Degan comes to Blom Orthopedics from the CORE Institute, where he practiced orthopedics for the past five years. There, Dr. Degan practiced general orthopedics with a focus on sports procedures involving the shoulder and knee joint, including tendon, ligament and meniscal repair and reconstructions. His goal is getting his patients back to their active lifestyle, whether by joint preservation procedures, such as cartilage restoration, or joint replacement.
